"I used Daniel and one of his teams at DK Building to refurb a derelict house I'd bought at auction, into a deliberately basic but clean, dry, warm shared house (HMO), specifically to house homeless people. I've worked with many builders over the last 11 years and am happy to say that Daniel is one of the nicest and most straightforward builders I've had to deal with. He's scrupulously honest and has a genuine desire to do a quality job. Daniel is not the cheapest builder, but I've been burnt before by going for the cheapest quote, only to find shoddy work, cut corners, "extras" added on, and delay after delay. Now I have a policy of going for not the cheapest, but the best *value* builder. I have confidence that if I wanted a job done right, first time, on time, Daniel and his team would deliver, and that peace of mind has a lot of value to me that I'm prepared to pay the right price for. "We recently had a downstairs renovation completed by DK Building. This involved knocking through a wall, building a new utility room, new floor, blocking up a door, replacing radiators, and making a kitchen space ready for installers, as well as other numerous smaller jobs. Throughout the whole process, DK were always professional, punctual, and polite. The quality of their work is outstanding, and they were very flexible when it came to new jobs that came up during the build. For example, they raised our kitchen floor level so it is on the same level as the dining room floor, even though this was not part of the original spec. They also installed our kitchen worktops when the originals fell through and we had to make alternative arrangements. I have nothing but good things to say about them, and would not hesitate to recommend them.
